Data protection
Pursuant to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the provisions of Swiss data protection legislation, everyone has the right to the protection of privacy, as well as to protection from misuse of their personal details. The Federal authorities comply with these provisions. Personal information is kept strictly confidential and is not disclosed, given, sold or transferred to third parties.

In close cooperation with our hosting provider, we make every effort to protect the databases from outside access, data loss, misuse or falsification.

Upon accessing our web pages the following data is saved in log files: IP address, date, time, the referring page, the page being accessed and general transmitted information to the operating system or browser.

These usage data form the basis for statistical, anonymous analyses, such that trends can be recognised, thereby allowing the Federal authorities to correspondingly improve their offer. Pursuant to Federal Law relating to the monitoring of Postal and Telecommunications Traffic (BÜPF) there exists a legal requirement to retain connection data of the preceding six months.
